Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies-

My daughter is the chocolate chip cookie maker in our home.  We have updated this Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe since it was first made in 2012.

Since she is out of the house, I thought I would try a a new take on the traditional chocolate chip cookie.   Browned butter is something I do not do often and typically stick to the softened butter cookie recipes.

I have never tried browned butter in a recipe before. I have a friend who makes amazing chocolate chip cookies and her secret is melting the butter so I was immediately interested.

I have never browned butter before and not sure if this is normal but it was splattering quite often. The batter was also a little more gooey than traditional recipes but mainly because it was warm.

The first time I made this recipe I followed it to a tee.  The dough is very soft.We found it easiest to use a small ice cream scoop to ease the mess.

The second time I made these, I decided to allow the cookie dough to sit in the fridge for one hour before scooping them into balls.

HOW MANY COOKIES DOES THIS RECIPE MAKE?

This may be why we only made 2 dozen instead of the 3 1/2 dozen the first time.

BEWARE: The uncooked cookie dough is addicting. Cookie dough tastes good but how about adding warm cookie dough.
