Finding activities for the tween girls in your life that needs to be recharged or connected to WIFI is often challenging. Some craft activities can be too “babyish” or too complicated at this age. My daughter recently took a sewing class and that is all she wants to do, unfortunately it takes over the room and my time. So now what? Check out Crafty Bands Charm Bracelet Kit
So what are Crafty Bands? Crafty Bands are a new and unique way to create custom charm jewelry from photos, magazines, or almost any type of paper!
Use our Studio Tool and self adhesive Bubble Caps to create dazzling custom epoxies that fit perfectly into our Crafty Snap settings.
Add a customized Bubble Cap to one of our Crafty Snaps and you have a tradeable, collectable charm that you can mix and match on one of our Crafty Bands!
My daughter, age 11, had a friend over last week, and I thought they might enjoy working with he Crafty Bands Charm Bracelet Kit together. Her friend is definitely on the crafty side, so she was the perfect contestant!! Here they are diligently working on their charms, no help needed so far. (Except getting Chuck out of their space)

Pretty easy process and the best part the charms are totally customized by the child. They search magazines for pictures they wanted to include on the charms. This not only takes up more time, but also gets the child thinking about the interests of the friend they plan on giving the bracelet. These girls made one bracelet for themselves and another for the friend’s little sister.

Overall the girls really enjoyed making these and would be happy to receive the kits for a gift. There is a limited number of charms so you can’t really change them out but you can buy more crafty Band Charm supplies here.
The one con the girls mentioned was it was hard to attach the charms to the rubber bracelet. Actually, it was hard for me as well but then we realized if you press it on a hard surface they click right in.
Check out Crafty Bands on Facebook and Twitter too. Also check out the
Crafty Bands blog that includes instructions on how kids can download printable Valentine’s Day images.
What type of things are your tweens involved in?
I was provided a kit to sample but not other compensation was provided. All the opinions expressed in the post are 100% my own.
