Easy BBQ Chicken

Even though the weather is pretty mild in VA, this winter has kept us off our grill more than I would like. For our first post, we received some Stubbs Chicken Marinade as well as Chicken which ignites BBQ Chicken cravings. I was not about to go outside on the grill so we are bringing the summer flavor inside for you all.

I purchased a full chicken that was cut up by the butcher and some additional thigh pieces since our family loves chicken. I think Baked Chicken like this is best on the bone, but if you prefer boneless and skinless chicken just adjust the cooking times.

Before heading out for the day, I first rubbed the chicken with STUBB’S Chicken Rub and then poured about half the bottle of the Chicken Marinade over the chicken. Be sure to turn over the pieces so every bit gets some flavoring. Cover the dish and refrigerate until you are ready to bake. ( I used a parchment/ tin foil combination so I could place it directly into the oven)

Take out the chicken while the oven is preheating to 350 degrees. Keep Covered.

Bake covered for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Remove parchment and foil and spread Stubb’s BBQ sauce liberally over the chicken. Cook an additional 30 minutes until chicken is cooked through.

Add more STUBB’S BBQ sauce if desired or serve on the side.

We roasted some Veggies alongside our chicken at the halfway mark. We tossed them with a little of the Chicken Marinade, from the bottle. The veggies had a little kick to them but it was a great change from just olive oil and salt.

  1. BBQ Chicken is one of my favorites! We normally just crock pot the chicken and then shred it and then eat it on buns with bbq sauce! I’ve never heard of Stubb’s bbq sauce before though!

  2. is this sauce hot?would love to try!

  3. I really like BBQ sauce! I’ll look for this brand. I think chicken on the bone is better too. thanks for the great recipe.

  4. Although I don’t really like eating chicken with bone and skin…your pictures look really good and my sweetie would love if I made this recipe for him…especially since he’s trying to lower his intake of fried foods. I bet the veggies with the marinade tasted really good!
