Are you hosting an event this Sunday for the Big Game? Maybe you thought about it but you don’t have time to cook. We are sharing Game Day Buffet Ideas using Prepared Deli Wings.
es prepared chicken wings from the deli. I am not biased about wings but having a husband from Buffalo, NY things can get a little hairy.
When we were first married he prepared some wings at the house and it stunk up the house for a few days. We later got a deep fryer (outdoor kind) and he prepared wings outside for a big game a few years ago.
However, my puppy decided to lick all the oil he left outside and what a mess that became. Needless to say the only chicken wings coming into this house for now on, are prepared wings.
As I was heading to the frozen section to pick out some wings, I passed the Deli Section at Walmart and saw they had prepared deli wings displayed. . Hello, this is a no brainer, not only are they prepared, but they come in different flavors.
I chose the Pick Three Bucket, and received 1 pound of each hot wing variety: Boneless general Tso’s, Bone-in hot wings and Buffalo style.
I knew I had to come up with some fun dips for these as well, at least for the General Tso’s since this was a new flavor wing for our home. How about a spicy Mango dip to offset the traditional Blue Cheese and Ranch we will be serving…
If you have never cut up a mango it is super easy and should not be intimidated at all.
FREE GAME DAY FOOD MARKERS PRINTABLE
For the Game Day Buffet I made these free Game Day Printables so you can label the different prepared wings and sauces.
Making entertaining easy is one of our goals at our house. We would not entertain so much if we did not get some semi-homemade items to fill in the gaps.
Of course no one wanted to leave the game we were watching to go upstairs to get food, good thing this buffet is portable as well.
HOW TO CREATE A WING BAR
Your guests have a choice of fresh wings and sauces to choose from which makes you look like the hero in all this.
We used stadium style plates and I cut off plastic cups so folks could add their sauces on the side if they wished. Personally I enjoyed the Boneless General Tso’s Wings with the mango sauce. The family preferred the traditional wings, good thing I bought the Pick Three option.
What is your favorite Hot Wing and Sauce Combination?

I Love the prepared wings at Walmart!! And the pick 3 Bucket is great!! My husband and I do NOT agree on wings (he likes bone in, I like boneless, he likes SPICY and I like no spice!) So this is perfect for us! I love your printables and mango cutting lesson! #client
My family lo-oves hot wings. We’re looking forward to the big game and the hot wings this weekend.
The Spicy Mango Dip looks interesting! I might just have to whip some up for the big game party my family will be going to. Thanks for the recipe!
I really like the sound of that dip. I love mango and think it would taste delicious with the brown sugar and orange marmalade.
Wow I have never heard of that type of allergy before, just the tree, amazing.
It really was not that spicy either, more sweet in my opinion.
Sounds like this is the best solution for your house Wendy.. Just bring them home and let the boys dig in.
What a great combination of flavors! YUM!
Yum! My kids love wings and that mango dip sounds good! We’ll have to try them together.
I love getting wings from the deli. We get them and serve them up with special tips like this.

Great recipe, I will have to run it by the kids, they like spicy stuff. Have fun at the game day party.

I got to try these wings too. Weren’t they awesome! Love the price too.
Your game day setup is awesome. I have to try that spicy mango dip!
I don’t think I’ve ever had a fresh mango. The boys were allergic to them when they were little (touching mango trees gave them hives) so we just got in the habit of avoiding the fruit altogether. 🙂
I definitely need this kind of help with wings. I don’t eat them or cook them, but my guys like them. It’s nice to know I can get them premade!
Wings on game day are always a good idea! These look tasty!
