You will no longer be stressed out by the idea of hosting a last-minute party with Walgreens Holiday Solutions. Plus Walgreens has everything from Vitamins to keep you healthy through the season to last-minute Christmas gifts.

(I was there on Christmas one year picking up a wanted toy we forgot). Not all parties have to be full of homemade treats, learn how to host a last-minute party with a combination of homemade and purchased items. These are simple tips on How to host a last-minute party.

How to Host a Last Minute Holiday Party

My son and I headed to Walgreens in between getting one sibling to Church group and another one-off to get a haircut. We needed some items for some guests coming for dessert that night. We were both surprised by the options available there.

Walgreens introduced me to a line of snacks, the Good & Delish brand. They have things from mixed nuts and sparkling water to frozen appetizers and desserts. They look as good as anything you might find in a gourmet shop but more reasonably priced.

How to Make a Fudge Wreath

I picked up some grocery items from Walgreens to make fudge and supplemented the rest of the menu with items from Walgreens. I had some Christmas cookie dough in the freezer so I baked them off while I made the fudge.

I thought transforming a fudge recipe into a wreath would not only be easier, I did not have to cut it, but it would be super festive. Walgreens has all the ingredients necessary for this fudge recipe.

To decorate your Holiday tablescape, add some inexpensive ornaments, also found at Walgreens, in a bowl onto a serving tray for a profound cookie presentation.

How to host a Dessert Party

Although we were hosting friends for dessert, I picked up some savory items as well. These appetizers were not only delicious but only needed to be baked, and for the same amount of time. Right before the guests arrived I microwaved the spinach artichoke dip and served it with the tri-colored tortilla chips.

I filled a candy dish with dark chocolate covered almonds, also the Delish Brand,  which I was hoping would be eaten as they are quite addicting and afraid to have them around the house…. But almonds and dark chocolate are healthy right!!

Don’t make everything homemade,  spread both homemade and purchased items from the store and people won’t notice that you took a few short cuts.

So don’t fret next time you get that call, or have that last-minute urge to have some friends over during this holiday season, head to your local Walgreens or check out Walgreens Holiday Gift guide for some creative gifts ideas too.
