Thanks to Popar Toys for sponsoring this post about this fun family activity. I love puzzles especially on vacation or on a rainy day. Building puzzles as a fun family activity and you can find puzzles in all different levels. The family gathers around a table with one another and all have a similar goal. Such a priceless time. It makes for great conversation and for me a little competition.
I recently reviewed a Popar Toys 3D book, makers of incredible augmented reality books, cards, puzzles and wall charts, if you build one of their seven themed jigsaw puzzles, a whole new interactive experience unveils itself to the delight of today’s iGeneration. Watch butterflies flap their wings at the Picnic 3D Interactive Puzzle Game, shoot hoops around the world in Basketball 3D and fashionistas design gowns in Princess 3D — all with the flick of their finger over a mobile phone or tablet screen hovering above the puzzle.
These puzzles are priced at only $14.99 like an average jigsaw puzzle would be, but offer so much more play value and “wow” factor than your ordinary puzzle. Choose from seven styles, for ages 6 and up (they are 100 and 300 pieces):
Once assembled, the puzzle fun is not over. You can download an app on your smart phone or tablet for free and the kids can bring the game alive.
It took me a little while to figure out how to move the players around and get the game moving but the boys took over in no time.
My kids did have one criticism for the puzzle, they felt it was a little thin so the pieces did not stay in place. Since I worked on this with them I would have to agree but it was still a fun puzzle and activity to do as a family. I also liked that the puzzle came with a large poster of the puzzle because it is hard to share the box picture with a group.
