Revolutionary Perforated Cutting Board–Do you need a FLOW? Review

2 Flares 2 Flares ×
Outside of providing my readers with great recipes, crafts and giveaways I love to find great products that will make our lives easier.  I recently came across a kitchen product called FLOW.   Flow has a great story behind it and I thought I would share this product even before it is mass marketed.

Let’s first start off with the obvious:  What is a FLOW?

  • A revolutionized perforated cutting board
  •  Design allows the juices from meat, vegetables or fruit to flow through the cutting surface into a tray
  •  Reduces health risks of contaminating countertop
  •  High quality FDA approved cutting board materials
  •  Easy clean up and storage
  •  Nonskid rubber feet
  •  Dishwasher safe
I know I get tired of cutting meats and juicy fruits to find a puddle of the juices oozing onto the counter.  I especially get a little weary with meats and contamination.  With the Flow you don’t have to worry about this anymore.

Now a little background on the developers of the FLOW:

FLOW is the brain child of Peter Hauser and Ola Ahlmen. Peter was cutting a steak, getting thejuices all over the kitchen counter. The frustrated chef switched gears to talented designer andthought “How can I avoid this?” and the idea for the cutting board was born. Peter mentioned theidea to Ola, who has experience bringing products to market and the team was formed!
Peter with his extensive design and development background combined with Ola’s massiveoperational experience makes them the perfect combination to make this project a huge success

So how does one get a FLOW?

I have mentioned the KICKSTARTER Project  in the past but wanted to share with you what this is.  Basically if you have a project that you want developed you can go through KickStart.  The project is then funded and production can start when it gets the pledges from folks like us up to the designated amount.  So what is a pledge, it can be as low as a $1 or this goes higher but in turn you get the product.  It is a win win situation for both you the consumer and the developer of the product.

For this project only the first 1000 will be given to backers before they are seen in stores.  What a great opportunity. If you believe in the FLOW and think it will be useful in your kitchen or that of a friend/relative, hop on over to to the FLOW KICKSTART Page and make your own pledge. As I was writing this post, they were about half way to their goal.
