Spring allergies have come early this year with the warm winter temperatures in the Southeast. So what does that really mean at my house? Well until I moved to Virginia I did not suffer from seasonal allergies. However, you really can not avoid it when you are surrounded by green covered cars, lawns, outdoor furniture as a result of the large amounts of pollen here.
Of course I know it happens every year, yet I still wait until I have a sinus infection to start medicating. There are ways one can prolong the use of allergy medication, one is to always wash your hair before going to bed so you are not bringing the pollen/allergens to your pillow case. Also as much as you love the fresh air enter your home, limit the amount of time you keep windows open and always wipe down the windowsills. If animals are your culprit, try to keep them out of your bedroom if possible and/or use Hepa filters to your HVAC units.
Another natural way to get relief from spring allergies is to rinse out your sinuses. Thanks to the Spring Cleaning your Body by Waterpik and Gigcoin, I was able to try their SinuSense machine. Similar to a Neti Pot, Waterpik’s SinuSense is a pulsating nasal cleaner. I was a little nervous to try this but after the initial sensation it was not an issue.
Cleaning out your sinuses provides you relief from allergy symptoms, post nasal drips and cold symptoms.
Similiar to some other WaterPik Products, you can watch a video about this SinuSense to watch proper use. This proved invaluable since this was a new product for me.
I also like that it comes with 2 nosels so you can share this with someone else in your family. It comes with 15 saline packets, but you can purchase more. Retailing at 29.99 you can use this coupon for a discount.
